Casting Crowns - a little disappointed
Matt Maher was amazing and Hannah Kerr was great. He had great energy with some talk and had the crowd going. Would have wanted to hear more of him. When John Legend started, within 15 minutes he started talking and he spoke for about 10 minutes. It seemed that the crowd lost the vibe some and people left early. Within the 2 hours time for the group to perform, he may have left some of his popular songs out. Overall, John Legend was a disappointment as he preached too much. He did say he was a youth pastor. Then part of the talking time was spent promoting a ministry of adopting an impoverished child that he is involved with. I think that within the 40 minutes he spent talking, he lost the crowd's interest. Once it was over all 3 bands came out for one encore song. I hate to be negative as this was a Christian concert, but I'm telling it as it is - I paid to hear the music, not to hear a preaching!
